The Educational Objectives and the Student Outcomes of NCTU-EE

1. To acquire advanced knowledge:Graduates can understand the basic principles and advanced knowledge that underlie electronics technology by graduate programs. The programs also strive to develop in each student analysis, creativity, and the ability to solve fundamental research problems through laboratory and design experiences.
2. To achieve diverse learning:To provide graduates a broad exposure to the fundamentals of electronics engineering, communication skills, and teamwork for the challenges arising in any career path they choose. Educate the graduates to demonstrate integrity, professional ethic, and social responsibility.
3. To develop global perspective:Constructing an international learning environment, the graduates can have an international viewpoint for capturing the global trend in industry or technology development.

Undergraduate

1. Professional knowledge:
(1)Focus on mathematics and physics, support with chemistry and bio-science.
(2)The professional knowledge in electronics and computer science.
(3)The disciplinary knowledge in experiment and computational design. Possessing the abilities in identify, analyze, and creativity to solve challenging problem.
(4)Able to perform technical writing and oral presentation. The habit and ability in continuous learning.
2. Breadth learning:
(1)Basic understanding in humanities and social science.
(2)Understand and realize both professional ethic and social responsibility.
(3)Communication and teamwork ability.
3. Global Perspective:
(1)Understand the global trend of electronics industry and technology.
(2)The ability to pass the first stage of High-Intermediate level of General English Proficiency Test.
(3)The understanding of engineering within its societal context.

Postgraduate

Our institute develop into two groups: solid group and system group.
Graduates have been expected to acquire following abilities after graduation:

1.Professional knowledge:
(1)The advance knowledge in solid state electronics and electric circuit and systematic fields.
(2)Graduates are able to perform or design experiment or electric circuit. Can independently identify, analyze and solve fundamental problems.
(3)The abilities to operate experimental instruments, and computational software.
(4)Across science knowledge.
2.Breadth Learning:
(1)Understand and realize both professional ethic and social responsibility.
(2)Develop supporting skills in leadership, scheme, and teamwork.
(3)Possess the ability in lifelong learning.
3.Global prospective:
(1)Understand the global trend of electronics industry and technology.
(2)The supporting abilities of oral, written communication, and reading in English.
(3)The understanding of engineering within its societal context.
